Hi, I'm Matt. I grew up in the San
Francisco Bay Area. At 17 I moved to
LA where I attended UCLA. I studied
media design and trannies. By 20 I
had finished school and was free to
be badass in any form of my choosing.
I still haven't chosen.
My tattoo says "Uhura" -- as in the
Star Trek character. I often appear
like my photo to the left --
sleeveless and looking longingly at
something.
My video art is about finding the
things you never had, loving the
people you never knew, reaching the
places you had never been to,
receiving the respect nobody would
give you, getting the forgiveness you
grew tired of giving to yourself,
living the fantasy you denied you even
had, having the social equality you
never saw coming. MGL FIGHTS is a
fight for what's missing.
